paranormal activity

paranormal activity's budget cost was $15,000, on its first weekend made $77,681 and overall made $193,355,800. considering that some films put a lot more money into films and dont even make as much as this i feel that as a whole the director of paranormal activity oren pell and the producers plumhouse productions are a bit cheeky and rolling in money that a ten year old could have made.

The main concept of the film

After moving into a suburban house a couple becomes increasingly disturbed by a filming cast and some invisible string. There is a so called demon that has been following the women of the couple around since she was eight.

The thing about paranormal activity is that you can take it serious to us it feels like we are the camera man filming a couples everyday life with no background music and what you see and hear seems completely real. the thing that makes it scary......for some, is that is the amount of suspense that is built. just as you sit back, relax and think everything has stopped BOO you jump out of your chair again. the great thing about the film is that the normal atmosphere of the movie doesn't scare you it is the build up of suspense and the noise that scares you, the film makers are trying to give you the impression that this is what goes on in everyday normal atmospheres.

But i know why your reading this, you're reading this to see weather or not the film is worth watching and to all you who want to watch it grab a few chicks turn the lights off put it on and the ladies will be hanging from from your neck in horror and that would have made your boring night a whole lot better.

the birds 1963

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE INNOCENT LITTLE BIRDS BECAUSE THIS UNDERESTIMATION MAY BE YOUR LAST HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

The birds 1963 (or as i call it the attack of the birds on strings withe the greatest graphics of all time) another classic film by alfred hitchcock grossed $11,403,529 in the USA.
Actors:
Tippi Hendry (Melanie Daniels)
Rod Taylor (Mitch Brenner)

a young wealthy san fransisco socialite pursues or in other words stalks a potential man she is very fond of to a small northern calofornia town called bodeaga bay to give his little sister some love birds. after a staggering 45 minutes of the film revolving around the mc guffin the film finally kick off. poor melanie daniels and the whole of bodeaga is brutalized and some killed by a reign of cannabilistic birds. it might not of had the graphics of an imax film but they could have least put the effort in to hide the strings the birds were hanging on.

my personal favorite scene was when the birds finnaly start to attack whilst Tippi Hendren and Rod taylor are in the bar with some of the other residents of bodeaga bay. these birds must have some slick skills if they are able to turn a calm town into a bloody hellfire a few deaths and a lot of casualties.

in my opinion the most powerful scene in the film was when Rod Taylor walks outside his house which the birds were targeting slowly creeping past teh birds into his garage and gets the car. when he gets into the car safely and drives in front of the door Rod Taylor gets out of the car goes into the house the most suspense that was vere build in the film and then........ they all get into the car the mum the daughter tippi hendren and Rod Taylor and drive away safely. the reason this is so powerful because it gives the viewers the feeling that the terror is continuing and is not going to end.

Thriller: North by Northwest

north by northwest 1959 is arguably alfred hitchcocks best work exclding psycho in the box office i grossed at $13,275,000.

Key action scenes in North by Northwest

the mansion scene- The victim roger thornhill (carey grant) and the villian phillip vandamm (james mason) are at a mansion that the villians are hiding out at a man called mr townsend's mansion. The villian thinks that the hero is a undercover spy trying to take down the villians. the hero is unaware of this and is utterly confused at the villians proposal to make a deal with him. due to roger thornhill denying he is the spy (george kaplin) phillip vandamm gets angry. he then trys to kill roger thornhill by forcing him to drink a whole bottl of borbourne in one go and then put him in a car and get him to drive it down the coast hoping he would full off. but to phillip vandamm,s henchmen's surprise roger thornhill had just enough concioussness to avoid the cliff and get aay rom the henchmen but then get caught by the police. attempting to murder someone is very typical of a thriller and that is what is done in this scene.

The united nations scene- roger thornhill tracks down the man under the name of mr townsnd while he is trying to find out who the spy mr kaplin is he goes to the hotel room of mr kaplam and finds a picture of the man who tried to kill him. the picture showed the man standing in the united nation with a load of other colleuges of he's. when roger thornhill arrives at the united nations he is unaware he was being pusued the whole way there. when roger thornhill gets inside he asks at the front desk about mr townsend the secratary confirms he works there and sends roger thornill up to him. when roger thornhill arrives mr townsend comes out to greet him and to rogerthornhills surprise it was not the man he was looking for. roger thornhill the questions mr townsend about hes home and finds out that mr townsend was never home. the henchman the throws a knife into the back of mr townsend due to roger thornhill being there he gets caught in the act
