mise on scene means everything on the screen of a film. Mise scene is made up of 5 elements these are costume hair and make-up, settings and props, facial expressions and body language, lighting and color, positioning of characters and objects within the frame. The summary of the 5 elements are:
settings and props- settings are where the film is set for example if their was a dark quiet town and that was where the main characters were based that would be the setting of the film. the props are important items used in the film for example if two people were face-to-face and one of the people pulls a gun out, that would be the prop.
costume, hair and make-up - costume are the clothes that the characters in the film are wearing, for example if their was a police man in the film
